So you’ve taken an interest into the Real Estate business or maybe you’re on the fence of whether is this what you are looking forward to do? Now we could either opt for a career counsellor or probably we could ask a few questions whether this industry is your cup of tea.

If you think you are cut out, here are four quiz questions to help you decide your next move:

1: Do you like flexible work hours?

So you’re a night owl and you don’t mind staying up or being up early. As real estate agents or negotiators, many have confessed to making the switch for more flexible hours and much more time dedicate to loved ones. Of course this does come along with the efforts of selling or renting properties. So, if you want the freedom to manage your own time and business, then you’ll do just fine in this industry.

2: Do you like working Weekends or Public Holidays?

Imagine you’re about to enjoy the long Raya weekend and your mobile starts ringing. If that interruption is something you can deal with then maybe this may be the right business for you. Make time to facilitate property viewings for potential buyers and investors 24/7. Should you miss a call, it would lead to missing a lead and your credibility as an agent or negotiator. It is important to always be available for your potential leads.

3: Do you enjoy solving other people’s problems?

So, if you have a neighbour that came to you and mentioned that they need more space to accommodate the incoming baby. If you find yourself looking for solutions for them then this is a sign that you’re a problem solver. When you love getting in other people’s business and solving their problems then real estate is perfect for you. Just make sure to compile more information to help people better.

4: Does paperwork give you a thrill?

If your favourite part is completing the transaction then this seals the deal. You will have to encounter this from the beginning when you list the property by collecting details such as photos, providing property details and followed by completing the transaction. Go the extra mile and help go through legal documents for your clients as well to walk them through the process. If paperwork is your thing, then you would enjoy maintaining multiple properties at the same time.
