Every agent has their own style. Some are extroverts, while others are more laid back. Some are fun and flamboyant, while others are cool, calm, and collected. But the first thing for many real estate agents should be their passion. Real estate is a hard business and it takes a lot of attention to detail and commitment to great customer service.

A highly successful agent should have the attributes below:

  • Constant and Consistent Communication

Make it your personal mission to diligently respond to your emails, phone calls and texts promptly. Put your buyers and investors’ needs above your own, and ensure that they are comfortable and informed throughout each step of the process.

  • Utilisation of Modern Technology

Equip yourself with modern technology to make a difference. This will improve your line of communication, decrease the chances of you running into problems along the way, and increase the efficiency of the processes of buying and selling.

  • Know Your Areas Well

Study the areas you specialise in and immerse yourself into the culture and happenings of the city so you can assess your buyer’s or investor’s needs better by suggesting the best area that meets all their needs. This will give you the upper-hand over your competition.

  • Network, Network, Network!

Most of us get as excited about networking as we do about a root canal. We’re so not looking forward to it. But here’s the thing, it is a pretty big deal. Spin a web of networking connections with other real estate agents to obtain more leads for your listings.

Overall, highly successful agents should be knowledgeable and authentic. Highly successful agents are also able to treat their clients’ purchase as vitally important and make their buying or selling process a smooth and easy ride.
